My new 7610 (three days) is going slow with its internal clock. This happens
nearly as far as the eye can see (missing 5-7 minutes every hour) . Before
going back to the seller, I ask wether it is matter of a setup problem or
something else? Many thanks for comments.

Try adjusting the "automatic update of time" setting to the opposite of
whatever it is set to now.
