    Hi

My home PC's PCSuite 6.6 has suddenly decided to lose the DKU-2 USB
    connection to my Nokia 9500.

It's been working fine until this morning when I plugged my phone into
the cradle and a message popped up to tell me that Windows was
installing a new device (I don't know why it was OK before) and then
crashed halfway through the installation blaming the USB connection or
    some such.

Well I've spent an hour or two messing about to no avail. All my other
USB devices work fine in the same socket so I'm assuming that the PC
    hardware is OK.

I'm at a bit of a loss. My only thoughts are:

    a. Its the phone

    b. Its the DKU-2 cable.

    Any other suggestions?

Oh BTW I can connect OK via BlueTooth.

Try uninstal, reboot, re-install, and reboot again. Microsoft Windows is
    such a crock.

Thanks Steve, but I've already been there. Even used the Nokia 'Clean Up'
program to remove all the last bits of PCSuite existence, no go.

I'm beginning to think that this is more likely to be a cable failure as
everything's been fine for the last 10 months!

I am currently having problems with my Bluetooth Dongle. It not only
fails but slows down my (USB) mouse as well. I've tried plugging it
into another USB port and re-install the drivers but it hasn't resolved
the issue. If I can't sus it out I will probably re-format and start
again, it's been a while since that was done.
