    Good morning.
I have a Nokia 6600 and have somehow turned on predictive
text, and having mislaid the manual ( of course ) I can't
find a way to turn it off, would some kind person help.

Go to type an SMS and put the cursor into the body of the text, rather
than the phone number. You will see two horizontal lines and a pen
    symbol before the Abc.

Touch the HASH key ( # ) a couple of times until the two horizontal
lines disappear. Predictive text is now gone.

Some people can master it, but I sure as hell can't! I can't cope with
it as I have absolutely no idea what the phone is doing for me, never
seems to pick the word I want.

It would be good if it could be totally disabled so inadvertently
hitting the # key won't activate it. Just like holding the # key down
in standby mode switches to line 2, the amount of people that have asked
me to solve that problem for them is amazing as line 2 is NEVER used
here in Australia and not many people have ever heard of it.

I find it a doddle to use, makes typing outs texts extremely fast.
Occasionally you have to cycle through a couple of words to get the one you
want, but that is a simple press of a button too.

I also find it quick and easy - but people with poor *****ing skills can
have major problems with predictive text.

Nokia are pretty good with their user guides and keep almost all of them
online. Here's a link to the 6600 guide:
