    Hi all,

I've have a Nokia 6680, which I'm very happy with, although I do have one
    problem...

The 128mb RSMMC that I bought from eBuyer worked on my 6260, but won't work
    on my 6680.

Putting it into my pc (via a USB memory card reader) isn't a problem, the
Windows see my files etc, but my phone just says "memory card not inserted".

I've tried formatting the card in Windows both to FAT and to FAT32, to no
    avail.

    Any ideas people?

    TIA

    So I guess this:

    Isn't dual voltage then?

sounds like you have just got an ordinary RS MMC and you need a newer
Dual Voltage one. they are reffered to as DV RSMMC or MMCMobile but it
must be Dual voltage for the newer 6630/6680 phones....

    Or is it?

    Taken from the page above:
    "Operating voltage : 2.7V~3.6V"

    Hmmm, puzzling...

Hi Chris, long time no see.

See my previous post about the voltage of the card:

    "Operating voltage : 2.7V~3.6V "

Does this mean it is dual voltage? I'm confused...!

I disagree, Nokia have clearly stated "Dual Voltage RS-MMC". The
website you purchased from made the vague statement "Operating voltage :
2.7V~3.6V" to trick you into thinking it is a you were getting the
appropriate card. They are the ones to complain to!

The only criticism I have with Nokia is using the Reduced Size format
when the standard MMC would have done the job cheaper.

Not at all. I bought the card for my 6260 - it worked fine.

I then upgraded to a 6680, to find that Nokia are now "forcing me" to buy a
    new RSMMC.

You happily purchased the 6680, so that does not make them sly ****s
because the product description clearly states Dual Voltage RS-MMC.

Like I said before I would have preferred a standard MMC myself as they
are more readily available at a cheaper price and larger capacity but it
didn't stop me purchasing the phone, which I am very happy with.
