    Greetings:

Both of these phones come with a default screensaver, a digital display of
the time. I've had both phones and note that at odd times, a telephone
handset icon appears at the upper left of the default screensaver. I've
questioned both Verizon and Nokia about the odd icon and neither is familiar
with it. I was told by Verizon that the phones are defective, but I find it
hard to believe that things are as bad as Verizon claims them to be.

Verizon has offered the following contradictory explainations:

    1) Call in progress

    2) Data transfer in progress

    3) I've missed a call

In that the icon has appears at times when none of the above apply, there
must be an additional explanation. I've been relentless with my calls to
Verizon and Nokia. Verizon's "tech support" is, well, ..., worthless.

    Thanks,

    L

Where did you get these phones? I did not know they were available yet?
