Take it to your local Nokia Care Centre. It will cost you big dolloars
to get the equipment to be able to do it yourself.

For an old DCT3 handset you can usually get away with a cheap parallel port
flasher. For DCT4 and beyond you need decent kit like UFS.

    Hello!

There is no any official way to change your Nokia phone's firmware. We
highly recommend to contact your local Nokia service centre for any firmware
updates: it will be cheaper and faster, then trying to change the firmware
    yourself.

However, you can customize your phone, uploading images, logos, tones, JAVA
midlets and games and manage your phone's phonebook, calendar, to-do list,
create and upload new MMS message and send SMS messages using Oxygen Phone
Manager II for Nokia and Samsung phones ( http://www.opm-2.com/opm2/ ). If
you are using Symbian-based smartphone, then we can offer Oxygen Phone
Manager II for Symbian OS and Windows Mobile OS phones (
    http://www.opm-2.com/symbian/ ).

If you don't need PIM functionality of Oxygen Phone Manager II , then we can
offer cheaper 'Lite' version . You can view Lite version comparison matrix
    here: http://www.opm-2.com/opm2lite/

Also we can offer Oxygen Express ( http://www.oxygen-express.com/ ), which
allows to create phone's backup, restore backed up data and upload images,
tones and JAVA midlets and games to your phone.

Oxygen Phone Manager II free trial version is avaialble here:

Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian OS phones free trial version is
    available here:

Oxygen Express free trial version is available here:
