If you enjoy symbian series 60 compatible software ( the type that works
fine on models upto the Fabulous but slow 6600) DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON AN
"N SERIES the security that is built in will prevent you from adding ANY to
the handset
I own a N70 , 6600 , 3650 and although the N70 has a far better camera the
software
compatibility issue is a major problem if your looking for a software
platform mobile
you cant beat the nokia 6600
oh and N series dont play WAV files either and they use rsDVMMC (reduced
size Dual Voltage Multi Media Card) so you cant use your old memory cards
lots of people say the 6600 crashes alot and takes ages to boot up but
when it does work it wow no bloody comparison

I think you need to do some more research, as all of the statements you
make in your post are incorrect.
- You can use series 609 software in the N70 ... so whats the problem there?
- You can add software to play WAV files
- Some of the N series use MiniSD, DV RSMMC is different but thats not
an excuse to not use them.
- If your phone doesn't boot, crashes then take it for service to be
reflashed.
Overall the N series are much better than the older s60 products.

This is not correct information. Almost all appilications I've tested, and
there are tens of them, have worked just fine on N70.
N90 is a bit more difficul t case, because it has a different display
resolution (352 x 416 pixels instead of 176 x 208 pixels in older models).
But I've noticed at least operators and commercial software publishers have
started supporting N90 too.
Future NSeries phones (N71, N80, N91 and N92) can have more compatibility
issues, because they are based on Symbian v9. This means developers have to
build new versions for these new phones.
This same also applies to Symbian v9 phones from other vendors, such as Sony
Ericsson M600, P990 and W950.

Nokia has used DV RS-MMC cards even before N70. For example 6630 and 6680
use them too.

nokia is never going to release the other n series phones. they will still be "coming soon" next year at this time. nokia has great ideas they just don't deliver.
