    Is there a way to extend the ringing time on my Nokia 6630 before
    it hangs up on the caller or switches over to my voicemail?

    Yes - it is normally set within the call divert options (upto 30secs).

    If you are not presented with the option when you set your divert up,
    contact your mobile network.

    Thanks. I rang them in the end because I couldn't find the call-divert options,
    and so they gave me a string to enter, as follows;

    **61*07973100123*11*30#

    The two digits before the # tell the phone how many seconds it should ring
    for before it switches over to my voicemail. It didn't work, however, and
    the reason is because I'm on a pay-as-you-go tariff, apparently, but it should
    work for phones on a contract tariff.

    In Tools->Settings-> Call Divert, for Voice calls you can set the delay for
    Divert If not anwered. When you activate this, you should be able to choose
    a delay of between 5 and 30 seconds..

    Not all networks support this..... :-(

    Fair enough.......

    Yout tend not to get too many 'advanced' features for PAYG users.

    If you can call that 'advanced'
