Hi - I seem to be missing something fairly obvious because I can't find
out how to use my 6680 as a 3G modem for my laptop. I've installed the
bluetooth modem by downloading the .inf file and then Adding a
bluetooth modem and using the .inf for the driver. But what settings do
I put for the "Dial:" option on the dialup settings? For my K-Jam I
just put *99# for dial, but it doesn't work for the nokia. Anyone got
any good step by step info on how to set up a nokia (6680) as a 3G
modem over bluetooth for a laptop?
P.S. I don't want to install PC Suite
Thanks for any help!

Not much chance if you don't want PC Suite, that's the only way I know
how to do it.

PC Suite is just supposed to make it easy, dial-up should work fine without
it. *99# is correct, this is not a phone specific setting. Have you tried
"modem diagnostics, query modem", if you have Windows, something similar if
you don't (For some reason, my phone responds on "Standard Modem over
Bluetooth link" instead of the phone specific modem option, haven't figured
out why as this one works fine)?
Looks like you're account allows GPRS dial-up, you may need to check the
dial-up access point setting, possibly other operator specific settings,
depending which operator you are using (default settings are often fine, but
you're phone might have been set to use some other settings, or then you're
operator does not use the default "internet" access point and/or other
settings).
