Unfortunately I accidentally pulled the USB lead out of the pc before WinXP
finished installing the necessary stuff and subsequently I can't back up any
data from the phone to the pc. The phone isn't detectable when connected to
the pc via the supplied lead.

I had previously been using a Bluetooth dongle for backups, but as it always
took too long I thought I'd try the lead supplied with the phone instead.
(should point out that I can still back up the phone using the dongle, but
would like to try the lead)

I tried a system restore to an earlier point, but to no avail.

Anyone know how to force the pc to re-install it again from scratch?

I couldn't find the device in the device manager.

When I removed pc suite and re-installed, the pc then found the phone and
said new hardware detected, etc. I waited for it to all it's stuff and then
asked me to restart pc. Did all that, but the phone still doesn't want to
talk to pc suite any other way than Bluetooth.

Mike.
