Our IT department "upgraded" my work phone from a Nokia 6310i to a Nokia
N80.
The N80 lasted 3 weeks before i "accidentally dropped it 30 foot off a
building.
The happy ending is that I now have my 6310i back )
The N80 is a seriously **** phone, and has more bugs than a £5 whore.

Re: - APPALLING reception
Could not agree more. Had one for six months. Poor mechanical design, poor
RF performance, software bugs in all firmware versions, under powered
(battery), poor ergonomics, a real dissappointment. Sold it ...

If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.'

Truly awful.
This was my first Nokia for about 7 years and I cannot believe what a piece
of crap it is.
Never again.
For a so called 'premium' handset to have this many design and technical
issues is unbelievable.

Re: - APPALLING reception
Which network are you on ?
Upgrade to firmware version 4.
And get a 1000 mAH battery from Mobile Fun UK.
Helps.

Do they sell outside the UK? I haven't seen 1000 mAH for the N80
anywhere. Or maybe I missed it. Part number?
Thanks.

Re: - APPALLING reception
You mean this one?
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/11175.htm
That's not from Nokia right? Is it safe to use it? Also, on the picture,
it's shown that it has connectors on the side and not on top?!?!?
Btw, I have no issues with my N80, there were some software problems
initially but it's flashed now (by Nokia service guys) and now runs just
fine.
