Nokia 6230i (Cannot send text message!)

Hi

For no apparent reason, I've started to receive the following message
when I hit send, to send or reply to a text message - "Message sending
failed. Number not in use"

Can anybody please tell me why this is happening?. I've had a look in
"message settings" on the Nokia 6230i and cannot see any facility to
remedy the problem - it's really annoying...Grrrrrh

Would appreciate any advice

Get someone to send you a text, & see if you can reply to the sent number.

I had this issue a few months ago, suddenly I had to add country codes to all my
mobile numbers in order to send a text.

You don't say which country you are in or which network you are on, or
how long that you have been having problems!
If you are in the UK then your problem could be that all the networks
suffered damage in the storms yesterday (thursday), mainly power
failure and physical damage.

Have you contacted your service provider who may (???) be able to
provide more information.
