Nokia 3230...changed cover...help needed pls?

G'day
I've just bought a 3230 on eBay and it arrived with a scruffy cover so I
bought a new cover, then had to buy a T6 screwdriver, got the cover
fitted and now the screen is white when I power it on....not even the
'Nokia' logo across the screen which I would have expected. None of the
buttons seem to work so I'm thinking it might need a software
update/format and would appreciate any suggestions to solve the problem.

Thanks in advance for your help. Still searching the net but know
asking in newsgroups always brings more satisfactory results.

Oh.......meant to say I'm fitting a new 1Gb RS/MMC and new battery at
the same time.

You didn't mention the most important thing that we need to know before
we can even think about diagnosing the "white screen" problem....
Did it work before you took it apart?
That means, did it work for YOU, not "the Ebay guy said..."

Sorry, I'm not sure...it was grotty and I didn't want to use it in that
condition. ;-((
