Now we have to get Nokia to build the scanner INTO the N800, popping out on
the other end from the camera on another adjustable stick would be nice...

Sit the tablet on a table at Waffle House, boot up, pop out the laser from
the right side of the tablet and rotate it for the best picture on the
table top....type on the virtual keyboard.

    NOKIA ARE YOU WATCHIN' THIS?!!

    Re: N800 Laser keyboard...

    That looks great!
I would have to project it onto a softer surface as I Pound the Keys as it
is!! My fingers would go numb!
    May onto an old mousepad!
Now, if it would incorperate a vitrual TouchPad.... : )

You'd better not "pound" on that new N800 or it won't be working for long!
A very light touch is needed.....soemtimes, too light!

The Nokia LD-3W folding keyboard is more practical as you can really type
on it.....er, ah, after you get used to the Fn key to get numbers. It's
    only 3 rows.

The keyboard folded for travel, and the N800, by the way, fit very nicely
into a Gamestop PSP travel case that sells for $10. The N800 is about the
same size as a PSP. Just cut out the game storage flap inside it and throw
away the little pallet that velcros inside, too. Place the N800 face down
against the hard case's soft liner with its back to the keyboard under the
two straps and the keyboard force fits to hold itself into the other side
of the case. Zips right up only leaving you to carry the GPS puck
    separately, if you're going hiking...(c;
