N82 Picture File Size

When I take a photo with a 5Mp camera, the file size is around 2.5Mb on
average. With the N82, the pics are anywhere from 750 to 950Kb. Yes, the
camera is set to max image quality, 5Mp. Any ideas why the file sizes are so
different?

JPEG resizing/quality options. The camera won't compress the image or
attempt to reduce image detail anywhere near as much as a camera phone will.
If I load a camera image into Paintshop Pro and then Save As, the image
usually falls from around 2.5MB to a few hundred Kb.

Try changing the image quality etc. on the camera and see how image size
changes.
