    help my sisters 3310 has developed a most annoying fault, I its itself off
    at random intervals with no warning. I have changed both the battery and sim
    can someone help me out

    It is almost definitely the software on the phone that is causing this
    problem. Take the phone to your nearest Nokia Service Centre and have it
    updated. This will be free if the phone is still under warranty, or around
    £15 if not.

    There are many users of this group who update phone software, which is
    probably a better alternative if the phone is not under warranty.

    I confirm. I saw it, searching on the Web for a firmware too, but I don't
    know which version is faulty (type *#0000# to know). The 4.18 is OK, but
    update to 4.24 or better for computer compatibility.

    Common problem, fold up a bit of paper and put it between battery and
    back case... should hold the battery down onto the contacts better
