    I have a Nokia 7110 I wish to unlock.

    I know its a dct 3 phone and have tried software such as Eeprom tools and
    Nokia tool by Rolis.

    I have a dual auto switching cable and both programs say phone not
    connected.

    What am I doing wrong ???

    I have read all instructions for both progs and follwed them all

    If you look at the cable, you'll see a number of pins that can be pushed
    down. Beside that though, you'll see two screws. They're used to
    guide to contacts to the proper location. Just thread those screws a
    little lower for proper contact.
    Worked for me.

    You using XP? If so you will need 'user port' to allow the programs access
    to your com port.

    if your using XP then the people who write these programs don't know
    how to get it to work, seems they think we all live 5 years in the
    past
