I'm having a problem deciding what phone to settle on and I'm looking
for a push in one direction or another.

My wife and daughter and I have service with Alltel. We recently
renegotiated our contract and began using Nokia 3285 phones. Since
then I have learned that, if we want, we can switch to either a
Motorola V120e or a Motorola V60i. The Nokias have already been out
for a couple of years (and may have been discontinued, I don't know).
    The Motorolas are newer.

The Nokia is a fair phone from what I have seen since I have been
using it. It seems to pull in signals pretty well, although from what
I have read in posts, those signal indicator bars are all relative
from one phone manufacturer to another. The Nokia has an extendable
    antenna, while the Motorolas don't.

I understand that you have to jump through hoops to navigate to the
vibrate mode on the V120e, while on the V60i, it's easier.

It's true that the keys on the Nokia are close together and it's easy
to fumble them especially if you are fat-fingered like me.

I know the Motorolas have voice dialing. I haven't tried it, so I
don't know if it's more utilitarian or more of a gimmick.

I'm not particularly impressed with the screen on any of the phones.
It seems like some of the LCD segments are so close to the edge of the
screen, that they are difficult to see, especially if there is a
leather case with a plastic window on the phone.

According to the specs on the Motorola website, I believe the V120e
has better standby/talk time specs than the V60i.

Basically, what we are looking for is a phone that will receive a weak
signal wherever we happen to be, a phone that sounds good and can be
heard well, and one that has decent standby/talk time. All the bells
and whistles are nice, but they really are a low-on-the-totem-pole
    priority to us.

Please help me make this decision. We'll be stuck with the phones for
two years, so I want the decision to be a good one. Thanks for your
    help.
