Will I be able to use a 128mb mmc card in the Nokia 3650. I was
thinking of getting one from Crucial Memory. Does anyone know if
there is a maximum memory limit when it comes to using mmc cards in
the Nokia 3650?

The memory limit has been rumoured to be 64mb or 128mb depending on the
firmware version. However, a few days ago I heard from someone who
successfully used a 512mb MMC in the phone, so....

Re: Nokia 3650 mmc card
As far as I know MMC cards had a limit of 64mb but 128mb ones have
appeared. I wouldn't know of anything above that like 512mb - SD
versions do exist but MMC is dying out now as it is less robust and has
no encryption ability.
128mb should work just fine, these cards comply to the MMC spec as does
the phone therefore I foresee no issues; personally I cannot wait for
the 6600 so I can store tons of stuff on my phone finally (stuck with
the 7650 - can't stand that hideous thing they call a keypad on the
3650!).
If you are storing MP3s on the phone then there is a reason for a lot
of space - I will when I get an upgradeable one!

Re: Nokia 3650 mmc card
I'm using a 128meg MMC on mine without any problems.
I got it so that I could store mp3s on it.This was before I discovered that
it takes a lifetime to d/l them to the phone via IR, AND that they sound
absolutely s**t when you play them!
Still... Ican store lots of images.....

Re: Nokia 3650 mmc card
I got Belkin's Bluetooth USB Adapter. The file transfer rate seems to be
pretty high. I also have 128 MB MMC.

Re: Nokia 3650 mmc card
Now if there a program that made the phone use the MM card instead of the
phone's memmory that would be way cool,,,,Youd never get a not enough memmory
message again,,,

Re: Nokia 3650 mmc card
I have 64 mg on mine and works fine. I've seen threads where 128 mb cards
work just fine. I'm not sure if you need V 3.16 above 64mb??
Be careful, remember you're sharing memory with phone's 4mb where you run
your applications.
Don't know what you need all that space for, but if it's for mp3's, I'd
recommend a real mp3 player. Transfer time between pc and phone (including
format conversion) is verrrry long and the sound quality on the 3650 for an
mp3 isn't too great.
