3650 Firmware UPGRADE

i dont think you can do that by urself...or if ever u can, u realy need
very expensive stuff to be able to upgrade it.

Actually, when I called my local service centers, none of them could do
the 3650. A call to Nokia and I was told that none of the local
centers were authorized to upgrade the 3650 since it was so new, and
that it would probably be 6 months before they could do it.

For now, the only legitimate way to get the firmware upgraded is to
have it sent in to Nokia with an appropriate complaint that is solved
by a firmware update (powers off intermittently, etc.).

Fair enough. I just presumed they all do because my local does.

But im in france and there is no nokia's center

Oh, you mean it's not *supposed* to do that? And let me guess, next you'll
tell me that the Video Recorder isn't supposed to freeze up whenever it tries
to save a video, and crash a minute later! (V 2.54 02-03-2003 NHL-8, 128MB

No, it IS supposed to do that. It's a feature of the 2.54 firmare.
Unfortunately, most folks don't like the feature, so Nokia eliminated
it in later versions.

Can't speak to that one, I've never recorded any videos on mine...

That's the problem right there. My phone should be arriving back
on Monday. Damn I hated doing without it for a whole week...
