How do I.....

......find out my mobile number !

sounds funny, but i just bought a 7110 on ebay with an o2 payg sim card.
There is zero credit on the phone therefore can't phone another mobile to
display the CLI.

Apart from - topping it up, phoning 999 (they read you your number when you
get through) or speaking to the previous owner (tried and they are not
answering emails !)...

....what are my options? i remember my t68i could display 'my number' but i
don't know anyone with an ericsson :-(

Not possible with o2 unless you phone someone. Why not just top it up?
You'll have to do so eventually anyway, otherwise 6 months will soon expire
and o2 will disable the number through lack of use.

Apologies if you do turn out to be correct, but I always thought that if you
dialled 4444 (to top up) then it read the number of the mobile you were
calling from?

I stand corrected. Been topping up electronically with a swipe card for so
long now I forgot about the 4444 top up option.
