You can use GSM data, HSCSD (high-speed GSM data) or GPRS.
With GSM/HSCSD you need an account with an internet service provider and you
call to its dialup number.
With GPRS you need a GPRS service that allows access to Internet. Many
operators have separate settings for Internet and WAP use. Some don't allow
Internet use at all. In that case you can only access their own WAP service
and can't take advantage of 6800's email client.
I recommend you contact your operator for correct settings to access your
POP3 account.

Re: 6800
yes. You have to have your MMode set up (through ATTWS right?? )I have
the 6800 and there is no other way. If your internet doesnt provide an
area to access your pop 3, you have an MMode email account where you can
log into, and have your pop3 sent to your mmode phone.
if you are with attws and are trying to log in to change your mmode pop
3 to your mmode account log in here:
http://www.mobile.att.net/login.html
other than that there is no other way to try to check it.
you can only send email from the 6800 without internet access
hope that helps you.

Re: 6800
Thanks Tero. I own my domain name so I already know my MX settings. My ISP
is Netzero. Do you know if they have a dial-up number for wireless access?

Usually you don't need any special dialup numbers for your mobile phone, but
instead most dialup services will work with it. Your 6800 supports analog
and ISDN hand-shaking.
With standard GSM data, connection speed is limited to 9600 bps. Many
cellular networks also support HSCSD which can offer speeds from 14 400 to
43 200 bps. With HSCSD, you will pay your mobile operator several times more
than for standard GSM data..
Doesn't your mobile operator offer GPRS data? This would be the easiest and
cheapest way to access your email account with your 6800.
