    Just replaced a 6210 with an 8310. The 6210 had a 'hands-free'
profile with an auto-answer option. I can't find anything comparable
on the 8310. Is there a way of setting it up to auto-answer with the
    headset plugged in?

    Thanks

    Press Menu, select Settings and

    Accessory settings. Select Headset,

    Handsfree or Loopset.

    Select Automatic answer to set

the phone to answer an incoming

    call automatically after five

    seconds. If the Incoming call

alert is set to Beep once or Off,

automatic answer will not be in

    use.

Select Automatic answer to set the phone to answer an incoming call
automatically after five seconds. If the Incoming call >alert is set to
Beep once or Off, automatic answer will not be in use.

Note that the Accessory menu and anything in it will only appear on the
phone after the appropriate accessory has been connected once. After it
has been connected, the menu item(s) will remain.

Thanks, Ivor, and the others who answered this one. I hadn't seen the
Accessory menu because I was trying to set the phone up without having
had the headset connected. Now it's there.

The accessory menu is there regardless of whether the headset is connected
or not - well it is on my 8310. You might have earlier software though.

Once an accessory has been connected once, the menu option appears, but if
a headset, car kit or whatever has *never* been used with the phone, it
    won't.
