Can you recommend a phone whose best features include ability to
withstand the sun or the heat? Lately it's been especially humid and
hot and I am concerned that whatever second phone I choose, will
"melt" or overheat.
I want to keep an additional cellular phone exclusively in my car. It
doesn't have to be small or sophisticated, just indestructible by heat
or sunlight.
I've always had trouble with forgetting to disconnect my cellular
phone from the car adapter to bring up to my apartment. Then
remembering to take it with me when I go out is hard too because I'm
usully running late and forget.
Or does anybody know of a container that might sheild my phone from
heat?
Thanks, New

Try the nokia 6090 car phone. lookie at nokia site for more details. It's a
8W max output power phone (compared to max 2W for normal phones)

the extra max transmitter power output from the 6090 means that u can get a
far better signal than a normal (handheld) handphone

No, it means that a particular base station will be more likely to hear
you. Having a higher *transmit* power doesn't make your *receiver* any
better..! Although as you will be using a car mounted aerial (antenna in
case the original poster is in the US..!!) you will get a better signal
than a hand portable would, but the TX power has nothing to do with this.
