How different is the battery life between the 6310i and the 6210?

Not a lot as long as you don't use Bluetooth turned on all the time

I had great battery life with my 6310i, BT always on. I just got an S56. BT
always on and color screen gives me 2 days per charge. I got a USB data
cable for the S56 and it CHARGES the battery and syncs with OL2002. I could
never get Nokia Data Suite to work.

The quoted standby time on the 6310i is 17 days but of course unless you
never use it you won't get this..! I can easily get just over a week on a
single charge, but then I'm not exactly a "power" user (avg. 40 to 60 mins
    a month).

Don't use Bluetooth much either, but not noticed a vast difference when I
    do.
