    Hi all,

I want to swith to another provider, but when I insert the new SIM into my
6310i, the phone asks a security code. The default one (12345) is not
    accepted !
Is there a way to reset this code?
Also for "Restore factory settings" this security code is asked ...

    Thanks,

    Eric

Had the same problem with the same model of phone when I let a friend use
their sim in my phone abroad.

I had to go to a Nokia Service centre (see www.nokia.com for nearest) and
they reset it for free (I left the phone with them for about 30 mins). There
are a number of companies that will offer to reset it for you if the
warranty is past on the phone or a nokia service centre is not close by. The
going rate was about £20 + p&p IIRC.

You can also buy the tools to do it yourself but I cannot recall the cable
    required (anyone?)

Just do a search for Nokia Unlock and you'll be inundated with returns.

Just use a normal data lead and do a search for nokia fbus by maestro 0.25 .
