I know this is a bit of a simple question but one which is still
puzzling me. I've got a 7210 which came with a CDROM containing
software. I'm also about to buy a data cable which also comes with it's
own software. The question is, which CD do i use. Just the 7210, first
the cable software and then the 7210 or both.
Any help would be much appreciated

dependent on the cable software you have pc suite may not work well
with it. afaik PC suite will only work with the DKU-5 cable

Correct. PC Suite will only work with a DKU-5 cable, but will work if you
get an IrDA dongle, which is possibly a better option.

That's not a problem. I'm gonna get a DKU-5 cable. That's the USB one
right?

You shouldnt have any problems with the genuine cable if you follow
these instructions.
install DKU cable drivers (included cd or nokia website)
connect cable
reboot
install pc suite
reboot

Genuine? Does that mean there are fakes going around? I'm getting mine
from The Link in the UK.
