    Hi
I've got a Nokia 3330 that started displaying "Contact Service" for no
    apparant reason.
I have been told that I need to flash my phone to fix this. I've bought an
    M/F-Bus cable
    and a DCT3 Flasher cable

The problem I am having is writing the flash file to the phone. I am using
    Rolis 4.78
(although I have the same problem with other versions). I press the red
    button to
flash the phone, select the file, click ok, turn the phone on after a few
    seconds and
then I get the following error:

    Preloader boot error. Check
    - mobile choose
    - cable and connects
    - cable supply

I have also tried using kNox and I get a similar error saying "Cannot
    prepare phone".

I've tried increasing the delay index, tried using LPT2 instead of LPT1
    (even though
I only have 1 port). I've even tried using a different computer (both
    machines run Win98).

Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

    - David

original Dejan , a bit harder to use but works a treat .
I use rolis to load the mcu and ppm file then I copy to buffer and save as 1
file to flash straight to the phone with Dejan .
Look at some older posts I have seen a good guide on someones page that may
be of help to you .
