Does anybody know anybody in Melbourne offering this 7250 to 7250i firmware
    upgrade?

    I don't mind paying a small fee.

    thanks

Anyway, I was talking to my mate that works at a phone store. He said he
can upgrade my 7250 firmware to 7250i. Basically the same thing without the
camera improvement(??) for $10. But he also said for me not to get it now
as he has sold 4 7250i's and recieved 2 back as they are faulty. I asked
him why and he said they just don't work properly. Beware! :P "]

The last time this was asked, I remember it not being possible at all. I'm
not sure if that's changed since then, but I doubt it.

You'd think so, but someone from this group tried it with the official Nokia
equipment, and the phone read "Contact Service" :-(

This is not possible yet, due to the UEM information being programmed in a
different address (even tho it has the same IC, they have changed the way
its programmed) soon it will become possible...

I have seen one done, but only on a 7250 with blank UEM IC... and put it
this way, I wouldnt like to try replacing a UEM IC without the proper
    equipment...
