I really think all companies do not need a customer who hardly tries to
dictate the company's policy basing on his/her own expectations. I
understand and respect the "don't agree - don't buy" position, but I'm not
sure I can respect the position where somebody didn't read the license
terms, bought the product, used it for a year and then scolds the company,
because he think he better knows how things should be.
B> or is it maybe an attitude problem...?
Maybe you're right. I speak with people just as people speak to me (no
matter if they agree with me or not). Initially I'm respectful to anyone,
but if I give a lot of curses from someone, I have no reasons to respect
him. Maybe some people consider seller and buyer are made from different
material and became accustomed to complaisant behaviour regardless of the
tone they choosed, but I'm not going to play up to cads.
Of course all people made mistakes. And if we do, we pay for them. I'm
really sorry about your situation. We truly didn't receive any mail from you
until you posted one to this NG. We apologized and returned your money. The
only I can do now is to apologize once again.

Nice attitude there! Why don't you just change your licensing policy to
allow
us to use our current version of OPM2 with any ONE phone?
(or however many phones the license is for)
You will earn much respect, I will go back to commending your software
(and using it!) and we can all live happily ever after.
Until then, I'm afrain you're going to continue to loose customers
Sorry.

Hmmm... Is it a blackmail? 8-)
We're not going to change our policy. We do not need any commends from the
person who we do not respect. And we do not sell ourselves.
P.S. By the way you're mistaken about our losses. The flow of messages
regarding our company are constantly attracting customers who never knew
about us to see our software. And many of them decide (and write us about
it) that they are very happy to get Oxygen Phone Manager with all updates
for just 39Euro 1st year + 12.95Euro each next year and they don't
understand what are you speaking about in this NG.
So come on, keep up your work for us!

Ok, As I have mentioned before, we have an understanding.
You continue your scam, I continue to tell people about it.

Indeed, when buying a license, you're buying a year of free updates and
technical support (including free change of phones and new phones
registration). So you are able to have all the latest versions with new
useful features for your Nokia phones. Also you can change your phones at
absolutely no charge during this year. After a year pass, you are able to
continue using your actual license with your phones registered on it, or
renew the license for a small price and get another year of free updates and
technical support!
Let's take Individual license as an example and clarify some moments. You
paid 39Euro for a product + 1 year of updates and technical support. "One
phone" limitation doesn't mean you can use the program with only one phone.
It means that you can *write data to one phone at every point of time*. So
if you decide to change your phone during this year, it will be no problem
and you won't pay any additional money for this.
After 1 year you can continue using the product with the last registered
phone as long as you want. Renewal price of 12.95Euro allows you to get one
more year of upgrades and technical support. If it would be more simple for
you, the
license cost formula is
License = Product + Updates&Support
Where "Product" is one-time payment; "Updates&Support" - regular yearly
payment.
I don't see any scam in this formula.
If you will have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Why is it then that the competition Logomanager gives you support
through succeeding updates and Oxygen doesn't?

Sorry, I'm not sure I understood you quite right.
For the last year registered customers of Oxygen Phone Manager II have
received 20 more updates + Oxygen Phone Manager for Symbian OS phones at no
additional charge. We plan to develop both applications further, so those of
the customers who renewed their subscribtion will receive all updates for
OPM-2 as well as for OPM for Symbian for one more year. Moreover if we'll
decide to release, for example, Oxygen Phone Manager for Siemens (or any
other) phones, our registered customers will get it *for free*.
P.S. By the way registered customers of Logomanager or MobiMB are eligible
to get 30% discount on Oxygen Phone Manager purchase as well as on yearly
subscribtion renewal.
If you will have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
With best regards, Oleg Fyodorov.

I think you understood perfectly well what I said. If you have bought
a Logomanager license you do not pay *anything* extra for updates or
at least through the present version. I have had the program for
several years and get all updates thus far for no extra cost with
technical support included.

You're wrong. I didn't understand what you said and I wrote about it.

So what? We do not have any relation to Logomanager.

Not only that, you can use Logomanager with any number of phones. Wouldn't
use anything else, thanks Mike, if you're reading and have got this far..!
