My service provider has a contract upgrade deal where you can get either 2 x
    5210 or 2 x 3510i's at no extra cost.

The last thing I want is 2 phones which are no good. I know that the 3510i
is newer technology but how good is the colour screen readability, keyboard,
software etc. etc. vs the tried and tested 5210?

    Thanks

    Joel

well...monos beat any colour screen in bright daylight...5210 is better in
my opinion :-) besides, the 3510i is becoming too common (boring)..

The 3510i has more features, but as the previous poster says, its too
sommon, plus the screen is a bastard!!!
I dont know much about the 5210, only thats its rugged, has infa red, and
has a thermomiter (typo? im tired :P)
Look on http://www.nokia.com and search for the phones, then compare them,
    that always works for me!!!

5210 definately, even though the keypad can be a ***** to get used to.
Tried and tested, mine took quite a few throws in rage, even leaving dents
in a solid wood door still goin strong to this day.

But, sam, I disagree... For example, the 5510 looked great on the website
and on paper, yet I absolutely hated it when I got my hands on one. Same
    goes for the 3315...

5210 keypad IS hard, but responsive...no-one will find it mushy
besides, the thermometer is fun to use

personally i'd go for anything else than a 3series nokia..
