    Hi all

I have just installed a CARK112 into my car for use with a Nokia 6310i phone
and the microphone volume is very low I'm told. Is there any way of
adjusting the volume or could I have a problem with the microphone.
I can't find any setting's on the phone menu's which seem relevent and a
    search of Google finds nothing.
    Any one any ideas please.

    Neil..

This may sound like a silly question, but is the microphone the right way
up..?! I believe the CARK-112 uses the same microphone as the CARK-91
which I have, if so it is very sensitive as to its mounting position. I
originally placed it at the top of the driver's door pillar just where the
windscreen and door meet at the top. There is an ultrasonic sensor for the
alarm system there, so I placed the mike next to it with the cable coming
out of the top and then down behind the trim.

On making a test call or two, I was told that the audio level was very
low, so I fiddled with the mike (while stationary of course..!!) and found
it gave its best audio in exactly the same place as it was, but the
opposite way up, i.e. with the cable coming out of the bottom, not the
    top.

Very strange, I have no explanation for it, but it may be your problem,
try it and let me know..!
