Hi
It's time to upgrade my phone again ..... and after having a Nokia 8310
(nice phone but it crashes and very BAD reception) and a Sony Ericsson T300
(works but very slowly, doesn't alert you of phone calls / texts very well
at all, bad battery life) I'd like a phone which WORKS WELL !!!!
I tried a friend's Sony Ericsson T610 but it suffers the same problems as my
T300. Next on my list is the 6100 (am tempted back by the Nokia interface
and the fact it's so teeny - can fit that and an mp3 player in the same
pocket easily!). What are your opinions on this. Does it work well ? Crash ?
I was looking at reviews on www.reviewcentre.com and one review mentioned it
losing reception (among all of the other very good reviews). Does this
happen ???? Do you get answerphone messages instead of phone calls (that
used to be the case with my 8310) ???
Thanks in advance !!!

Re: Nokia 6100 ?
I've had a Nokia 6100 for a week now, and have decided to send it back.
Whenever I talk to someone, there is an intermittent buzzing on the other
end when the other person is talking, it's very annoying. I've looked on
the internet and a few other people have had the same problem. However,
apart from that it's a good phone, and most reviews are very positive.

I had a similar problem with a 6210 that was caused by the metal strip
for the Belt Clip in the leather case interfering with the internal
aerial. I don't suppose you are using a similar case? If so , try the
phone without the case.

The buzzing is weird - but I noticed an amazing difference in sound quality
on my Sony Ericsson, compared to my three previous Nokias (8310, 6210, 3210)
which all sounded slightly fuzzy.
The main thing I'm worried about is random crashes and signal problems (I
always had to switch my 8310 off and on to regain signal / get it working
again) which appear to plague recent Nokias.
