OK, my wife's off to the states on a biz trip and needs a triband phone
just in case she needs to be contacted.
So I thought I'd give her my 6310 for the trip, so I unlock it with the
DECT4 calc and I stick her Orange sim in and all we get is 'Sim card
    registration failed' !!
It works fine with the kids Virgin payg sims. A guy at work reckons it
blocked on the Orange network ? It's never been used on Orange, I've
had it from new (about 3 years).
Any cast any light (and tell how to get it working ?)

The Virgin codes are slightly different than the T-Mobile unlock codes. Make
sure you have the latest software from www.unlocksmith.co.uk, make sure
you're selecting Virgin as your provider, then use the second piece of
software supplied to calculate the Virgin codes. If I remember correctly
(but I may be wrong about all of this as I've never done it and only
remember making a mental note of it) you have to enter 3 codes in a specific
    order.

Can't help with the problem described, but....
Chris, make sure that the 6310 is really a 6310i
The basic 6310 is NOT tri band

Was the phone locked to t-mobile?

if so, then the unlock failed... and the reason virgin failed is.... virgin
    IS t-mobile.

we sold a load of phones locked to t-mobile to people wanting decent phones,
but on virgin (virgin started out with just the 2 phones, i forget which,
so we sold them a t-mobile phone and a virgin sim.

    Hi Anthony,
The phone works with Virgin (and on Voda) but always comes up with
'Sim card registration failed' on Orange, I've tried a payg and a
contract sim in it, where as before the unlock it wouldn't work on
    Virgin at all ??

this. makes for an interesting query. what if some cat actually got

it has to do with duran duran
doyou know if England has any animal cruelity laws? Well, at least we
know where "mad cow" disease comes from - I know I would sure be mad if
someone made me listen to Duran Duran.
