5170 help please

My 5170 battery seems loose. it frequently shuts itself off while in use or
while stationary. if i put a piece of paper between the battery and phone it
seems to help for a while. also, this past week, it has seemed to not hold a
charge for an entire day as it did before. I hate to buy a new battery if the
phone itself is bad. any thoughts? any help appreciated. thanks Judi

Usually it's due to a new battery... get a compatible one if you don't
mind...saves $
