Results 1 to 3 of 3

Hello,
I bought a serial data cable for my 7210. It has the usual com connector on
one end and a plug to plug right into the bottom of my phone on the other
(no need to remove battery.) I downloaded the latest version of nokia data
suite for my phone (5.12) and loaded and connected up. I am sure many of you
can guess what the result was... Nothing at all. I am told that the phone
cannot be detected, even when I tell the connection manager that the phone
is on either com 1 or com 2.
What is the solution to this? Has anyone else had success with the
aforementioned setup? From other mails I have read, it might be the case I
have to bite the bullet and buy a USB connector, but why should data suite
offer to look at the other ports if this is the case?
Your help would be greatly appreciated
Dave
