Is there a final verdict on the possiblity (or not) of flashing a 7250 to a
    7250i?

All I hear are rumours from people claiming they have done it then others
    say its impossible!

Any update? Is it ever likely to happen?

    Cheers

IMO it is not possible due to a few hardware changes ie bettter screen for
    one

It is possible to upgrade a 7250 to a 7250i. A Nokia Service Centre can do
this for you. They remove the front and back covers, remove the internals,
swap the 7250 internals with a 7250i internal, and then put the covers back
on. Of course, it would be quicker, easier, and cheaper to just buy a new
7250i and put your old xpresson covers on it!

Ok, sorry for the sarcasm... the short answer is "No". The 7250i has several
hardware changes. It has a different screen, different ROM modules,
different processor speed. Of course it is possible to make cross-platform
firmware, but unfortunately there's never been a need for Nokia firmware to
be cross-platform. Due to the differences in hardware it will not be
possible to simply flash upgrade a 7250 to a 7250i.

It is possible that Nokia can write a 7250 firmware that will make it almost
up to spec of a 7250i. But why would they bother when they want people to
    buy their 7250i models?
