Alright, just got this, and it seems really cool, but it's not the
most intuitive thing I've ever messed with.

Anyway, anyone know where I can get an accurate user manual? The phone
is a 3300, but it's not the same as the 3300 on the Nokia site; it has
    a qwerty keyboard for example.

Also, do you have to do something special to get an mp3 to work as a
ringtone? I set it on the phone but it didn't seem to catch, and I'm
working on a mac so I haven't been able to check out the software that
    comes included with it.

I guess it's the american version, try
    http://www.nokiausa.com/support/user...,,00.html#3300

No tricks, go to the ringtoner selection, select memory card and then the
directory where you have your mp3's in.

    Nah, I don't even think they sell the 5500 here. It's a 3300, but I
guess the nokia web site hasn't updated since this version of it came
out. The wireless provider sites that sell it do have the right
picture though, and they label it a 3300.

    Re: Nokia 3300 questions

I'm in Canada and we have the 3300 with the full keyboard on either side
of the screen (and no it's not the flip open one). The 3300 for the Uk
looks quite different then the one for Canada and the US.

Nokia is replacing my phone after a month of software glitches (profiles
won't hold, sound quality is not consistant even when listening to the
same mp3, loose headphone jack, etc.).

I've just selected the memory card and chose a mp3 as the ringtone.

I'm also on a Mac and for the user manual Nokia Canada sent me a
hardcopy one (they printed out the full pdf file for me). I think that's
really the only way you can get one.

I've got the UK version of the 3300 - I haven't had any problems with it at
    all.
Transferring MP3's is easy - once your PC has recognised the 3300 through a
DKU cable, all I do is drag and drop the files from their location to my
    phone.
