This is doing my head in so I hope someone here can help.

I bought a Bluetooth dongle so that I can do all the wonderful stuff that
Nokia says I can using PC Suite. Except I can't. I can't do a thing.

The dongle uses WIDCOMM drivers so I thought it'd work ok. Ha. I can get the
BT software to recognise my 6600 but PC |Suite won't even acknowledge my
    phone.

I've tried using Nokia Connection Manager to set up a serial connection but
it's not having it and selecting Bluetooth throws up a message saying "Media
    not supported..."

I've checked mSynch but there are no COM ports listed other than IR. I've
tried using the BT software and setup a serial connection then opening
mSynch but there are still no COM ports listed.

And I've lost count of the number of times I've uninstalled and reinstalled
both the BT software and drivers and PC Suite.

Does anyone know why I have no COM ports listed in mSynch and how I can get
some there and why I can establish a working serial connection with the
bundled BT software but not with PC Suite, which is supposed to be written
    specifically for this phone?

    Thanks,

Try to download these drivers for your Bluetooth dongle, because
unfortunately, all drivers are not correct. You may have a chance that it
    works fine with it:

Hope it will work, just tell me..

Unfortunately the drivers didn't work. I still can't get any COM ports to
appear in the mSynch options window :-(

I think the fault is with PC Suite rather than my dongle or drivers because
I can send and receive files using My bluetooth places and the Send To
option on the Right Click menus.

Spoke to Nokia support today cos I too could transfer files over Bluetooth
but could not display the COM ports in mRouter. They said it was a known
"issue" in PC Suite and that "Finland" were working on it. They took my
cellphone number and promised to let me know once a fix was published - but
    no date was given.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I'll give up trying to solve the problem now. And
    regrow my hair :-)
