Hi,
I got a new Nokia 6100 phone and for some reason get no signal in the house.
As soon as I go outside its fine. Other service provider's phones seem to
work okay, but not mine.
Thanks for any help.

You're probably out of luck unless you want to invest in an external
antenna. Whether a provider's signal penetrates your house depends on
the distance from the carrier's nearest towers plus on the frequency
of the carrier (lower frequencies penetrate walls better). So if your
new phone uses a 1800MHZ carrier it's not going to penetrate as well
as an 900MHZ carrier.
That said, some phones are known to get better reception than others.
You might do some research about which phones your provider offers
score better than others. I have no idea how the 6100 fares...
The 6100 is a GSM phone. If you just got AT&T service, you might
consider switching to one of the rare multi-band phones like the
Siemens S46 that does both TDMA and GSM. Perhaps you'll get one or
the other to come in in your house.
