I went to look at a second-hand Nokia 7210 last night - advertised at a keen
price and in good condition. When I put my Virgin SIM card in to try the
phone, it came up with 'T-Mobile' on the display; whereas my current phone
(a Nokia 3310) shows Virgin on the display with the same SIM card.
Whilst the 7210 seemed to work OK - I was able to make a call using my
Virgin SIM card - I am confused as to why it should show 'T-Mobile' on the
display. Can anyone help, please?

Virgin use T - Mobiles network as they are a virtual network. So a phone
that was not originally a virgin phone will show the operator as T - Mobile.
It won't effect the the phone or your service in anyway. Just change it buy
buying a new logo or getting it sent from virgin or connecting your phone to
your computer.
Hope that helped.
