Has anybody tried any of the larger MMC cards with the Nokia Music
    Player (HDR-1).
It retails with a 32Mb Card and the manual says it works with 64 Mb
cards. The music player is a bit old noow and since its release
    128Mb, 256, 512Mb MMC have been produced.

Has anybody tried or does anybody know if these larger cards work?

Should be no problem. However, if it says MMC make sure you don't buy SD as
    it won't work.

Do you know where I could get one of these?

512Mb SD are easy, but I've not seen 512Mb MMC on sale anywhere.

    I guess they do exist.

Some devices can only accept MMC (they are thinner) and there is DRM
    built into SD.

I suppose there may be devices that only take SD, though I don't have
    any.

SD is said to be faster, but I'm not sure that's significant.
