Please could anyone tell me why my 7210 has suddenly decided to reject all
O2 SIMs with the message 'SIM Registration failed'? O2 have told me they
have not put any blocks on my handset.
Long story cut short:
1. Lent my 7210 to a mate and put my O2 SIM in my wallet.
2. Wallet stolen so told O2 who said the SIM would be blocked
3. Get replacement SIM which O2 activate
4. Replacement SIM (and another different O2 SIM) fails to work in 7210 but
works in 3310 and Siemens SL45 whilst Vodafone and T-Mobile SIM work in
7210.
Phone is definitely unlocked when purchased and have been using O2 SIM in it
since Feb '03
Help. Please!

When the Sim was reported lost they also barred the last known handset used
with that sim, therefore you need to tell them to unbar the stolen sim,
which will unbar the imei, then ask them to put a network suspend on the old
sim instead of a handset bar

Thanks very much for your reply.
Please could you tell me then if this is a handset or network issue . In
other words, would an unlock code typed in on the handset sort it out or do
O2 need to do something from their end?

JP, you're a star.
I basically copied your reply in an email to O2 and they admitted
responsibility and have unbarred it.
Many thanks.
