    Hi,
Hoping someone can help me out here as the situation has baffled me so
    far. The situation is:

6310 (V5.01) connected to PC using genuine Nokia data cable, allegedly on
    COM2
6310i (V5.50) connected to the PC using Bluetooth and using COM5
    Nokia PC Suite (V4.5.8805) installed
Oxygen Phone Manager II installed, both phones registered and set to connect
    on the above ports.

The 6310i connects no problem to both Nokia Data Suite and Oxygen, so I am
fine with that. Here is the problem.....after starting the computer and
Oxygen, the program will connect to the 6310i but not the 6310 (says 'phone
not found'). Starting Nokia Data Suite and selecting the serial connection,
it will see the 6310 and connect fine (so no fault with the cable) and will
do the same if i select the 6310i using bluetooth. The problem occurs when I
shut down NDS and a while later restart it, select the button for a serial
connection and it says no phone found, even when I specify COM2 on the
advanced settings. I am thinking that somewhere something is blocking the
COM2 port, but I have no idea what or why.

Would be grateful to hear from anyone who has had a similar problem or from
anyone who has any ideas as to how to rectify the problem. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled both Oxygen and NDS several times but still come
up with the same problem. I much prefer the Oxygen software and will be
happy just to have that recognise both phones.

Hopefully someone will be able to help.

    Thanks.

    M

Re: 6310/Oxygen and PC Suite problems

    Hi again,
Please ignore the previous post as I have now sorted out the
problem, which was that I had not specified the correct type of data cable
for the COM2 serial connection in Oxygen Phone Manager.

Thanks anyway and hope you all have a peaceful Merry Christmas.

    Cheers

    M

Will PC Suite not connect at all, or just not sync with Outlook?

What about your Windows system? Did you upgrade that too?

    Re: PC Suite problems

As I said it just will not connect. It appears to be nothing to do with
Outlook XP. And I still have Windows ME
