3310 data cable to 3510i

how can i changes my 3310 F/M-bus data cable to 3510i datacable. I notes
after looking at this side http://www.gsmhacking.com/help/cables/index.htm
that the 3510i has one more pin then the 3310 (vpp).

Is it nesesary if I want to use both the F-bus and the M-bus?
or can I use the bateri + as vpp?

The pins are on the opposite side of the cable too.
