No i thought this would have been a doddle to do as people have been doing
this one for years now.
I bought a cable, connected it to my pc, connected other end to phone,
powered up and nothing, not a jot, the software i was given (oxygen phone
manager II ) says that no phone is connected.
Does it sound like i have a dodgy cable or shold i have some driver software
to let the pc know something is connected.
Sorry to ask such a lame question but this should have been easy to do -
cept' for me
Thanx

You'll need eeprom tools to unlock your phone, oxygen will only allow you to
edit phonebooks etc..

It could be that you have a dodgy cable, or perhaps something on your pc is
already using that port? You shouldn't need any drivers for the eeprom
tools or oxygen.

There's plenty of tutorials out there explaining how to unlock your phone,
have a read through a couple and if you've still go problems post here again
including the software you are using, the operating system you are using,
the type of cable you have, and anything else you think might be useful

Taken from:
http://www.gsm-technology.com/gsm.ph...310to3315.html
- logos editor
- few new tests in Netmonitor
- can set received ringtone as SMS tone
- timed profiles
- automatic locking keypad after specified time
- deleting SMS from specified SIM folders
- removed few "old" 3310 bugs
You will need a flash cable as well as a datacable to upgrade it, I missed
this from my first post.

Probably; does it plug on to the serial (9 pin) port on the back of your pc?
For unlocking it need to be either mbus or f/mbus.
A pure fbus cable (just used for phone book managment and uploading
ringtones/logo's) isn't any good for unlocking.
