I ordered spcs service on November 17 and received my Sanyo 5300 on the
18th. Online bill at that time had a credit balance of 50.65. And said
like don't pay it's a credit balance. Then it said below that that the
credit balance would be chared to my credit card on the due date... lol
But anyway, I receive this invoice in the mail that has said credit
balance... But no online claims that i've used 133.86 of my 200.00
limit and to pay that by due date... Was planning on making a payment
in a few hours for that amount... But I wonder if they will iundeed
take 50.65 off my card on dec 15?
Other question is in regards to using messaging.sprintpcs.com. The
messages are like 120 bytes or so, at least I know they fall within the
limit of standard sms.. But they are getting chopped and it's a pain
since they are bank updates... Is there an e-mail to shortmail gateway
address that wouldn't chop the messages? Thanks for any help.

Mark:
It sounds like your deposit wasn't held & was instead posted like a payment.
When they hold the deposit, you will need to have paid your current charges,
not just the net (in this case credit) balance. The deposit may already
have been held since on-line it is telling you the amount due of $130+. If
it wasn't a deposit situation, it might be an instant rebate vs. the charge
for the phone type thing. This would be the case of 1 was posted before the
bill cycle & the other after.
Auto pay will pay the difference on the acct. For example: if your bill was
$130, you paid $50 cash, $80 would then be charged through autopay. I have
seen instances of autopay taking the whole amount even after payment, if the
payment was made very close to the auto pay date.
FYI: I typically don't recommend autopay for anyone with a spending limit.
The autopay only will charge on that due date, not if you hit your threshold
(80%) or if you are turned off because of your balance.
When sending a text msg using an email product you will only get the first
160 characters, however that includes ALL characters sent, Toxxx Fromxxx
and Subject: xxxx. If sent from spcs.com you get all 160 characters as the
rest is templated for you. It even counts down characters for you. I don't
know if this solves your problem though, I don't know how your bank could
send something from spcs.com unless its manually entered. I am not aware of
any gateway that would change this.
Hope this was helpful.

Re: questions regarding billing and shortmail....
Thanks for the response. My balance appears to be the rest of my bill
without the payment for the phone... I just made a payment for the
posted balance. Payment now due is 0 however spending limit has yet to
restore since the last time i checked. Seems the
messaging.sprintpcs.com char limit can be gotten around by using my
vision e-mail address and then activating a forward to
messaging.sprintpcs.com so that i see them on the phone...Then just use
..vision to actually read the messages in my PCS mailbox.... Thanks for
the help.
