Re: Calling my phone results in rapid busy signal 2/3 times.
I am having this same problem on one of my two phones. Any time my
wife goes near her work I get a busy signal when I call her.
I called CS and they told it was a problem with some switchs related
to WNP. They told me that to route calls to handsets sprint doesnt
use your phone number to identify the phone they use another 7 digit
number to identify the phone. Sorta like and internal phone number.
For some reason my one phone is set up so the internal phone number is
the same as the regular number(this phone works fine) however the
other one is set up with an internal phone number that is not the same
the cell phone number. when ever this phone is in West New York, NJ
and I call the phone it gets busy signals
CS told me that they were aware of the problem and would issue a
credit when it is fixd. They said they knew which phones were
effected based on your zip and the credit would be automatic. I find
this hard to believe but I will keep on it.
I wonder though... Couldnt they just reprogram the number so that this
internal number is the same as the external?

Exactly. This has been discussed here recently, and in other cellular news-
groups. This is correct.

I don't find it hard to believe. All they need to know is which phone numbers
are having problems. They already have the billing info for those phone
numbers. I'd say wait 30 days and if you haven't seen a credit, give them a
followup call and see what's going on.
