Or withdrawal under $10,000 to buy drugs if your name is Rush.

    Sprint

Here in jackson mich. Someone walked into a sprint store gave them my cell number and name. The store pulled up my account showed it them ssn and all and then let them change my account. I am told this is slightly illegal. I have filed police report.

I would like to sue them for putting me at risk of identity theft, invasion of pprivacy and so forth. But cant seem to find anyone willing go with it to court. And small claims court for a 1,000 seems very little for what im going to have to do.

Small claims is typically good for $2500 or so.
If it's not worth 2-3 hours of your time then I suggest you quit whining
    about it and drop it.

If you ask Sprint nicely, you may be able to get them to credit you for a
few hours of service off your monthly Sprint bill. That is about all that
    you can expect.

Depends on what the account change was. If it was done illegitimately
and the Sprint personnel did not verify the perp's ID, he has every
right to demand that the account be put back as it was and get a
refund for whatever charges were incurred.

Unfortunately, unless something is actually done with the SSN I don't
know if he can do anything about the fact that someone else may have it.

The OP appeared unwilling to settle for a potential $1,000 judgment in
small claims. Do you think s/he'll settle for a courtesy credit?

Regardless, the fact that no lawyer will take the case speaks volumes.
that's usually a good indicator that there's no case to be had.
