Since the USB Sprint PCS connection cable & connection manager software kits
are no longer available from Sprint - would anyone know where the software
could be downloaded if one has a cable ?

I assume you want to use the phone as a modem for your laptop.
Besides the cable, all you need is the USB driver that will allow Windows to
recognize the phone as a modem; get it from
    http://futuredial.com/support/usbdrivers/Drivers.htm
Then create a connectoid in Windows dialup networking that will dial
#777. You don't need connection manager software.

I believe it's still there, just in a different place, and with a
different name. I could not get into sprintpcs to verify, but I
believe you have to log into your account, and there is a item
something about download software for something or the other--get the
one for x/p--or you can do what the other guy said--could you indicate
what phone you have and if you have any trouble--it worked fairly well
with my 4900, but I have had some problems with the sanyo 5400 with
    any of the methods.

You don't *have* to login, but that's where the link is. I=20
have the URL at work. I'll see if I can send it to myself=20
so I can post it here. Yes, the software is still=20
available via the SPCS web site.
